There have been 45 people in the history of the United States who have had the honor of serving as its president. What kind of person does it take to serve the country in its highest office?

Let’s examine the qualities of some prominent US presidents and see how they may relate to their astrological signs.

George Washington

Starting off first is America’s first and arguably most iconic president, George Washington. The Country’s capital, thirty-three counties, seven mountains, nine colleges, and an entire state are named after him.

Washington was born under the Pisces astrology sign, shared by a few early presidents. People born under Pisces possess the ability to dream big and make solid judgments. However, that judgment is sometimes turned on themselves: making them their own harshest critics. There hasn’t been a Pisces president since 1897.

Abraham Lincoln

One of the most popular presidents in the United States is Abraham Lincoln, which consistent polling has found him to be America’s top pick in the favorability rankings.

Lincoln is one of five Aquarius presidents, whose qualities consist of being intelligent, stubborn, and possessing brutal honesty that can sometimes be a detriment to themselves. Interestingly, four out of five presidents born under Aquarius have died while in office.

Joe Biden

The current United States president Joe Biden is a Scorpio, having been born on November 20. After Joe Biden became president, Scorpios beat out Aquarius signs as the most numerous among US presidents.

Scorpios are infamous for their manipulative tendencies but are also known for being passionate and brave in the face of opposition. The Huffington Post has previously ranked Scorpios as the most common sign among government leaders around the world.

Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump was born under the Gemini sign. Gemini’s are symbolized by the twins, which speaks to their tendency to be very sociable, quick-witted, and sometimes two-faced in their interactions with others.

Despite the number two being a theme among Gemini, Trump is one of three Gemini presidents.

John F. Kennedy

Carrying on with the Gemini theme, the second president born under the Gemini sign is John F. Kennedy.

When he was sworn in, Kennedy became the first Gemini president in US history, making Gemini presidents a decidedly modern phenomenon. Kennedy’s social qualities as a Gemini made him well-known as he was easily able to win people over with his quick wit and unmatched charisma.

Barack Obama

The nation’s first Black president, Barack Obama, was born on August 4, making him a Leo. There have been four total Leo presidents in the country’s history, whose births are spread out evenly between the 1800’s and 1900’s.

Obama exemplifies Leo’s traits of being ambitious and confident in himself. However, critics tend to view his confidence as vanity, which is another negative trait a Leo tends to have.

Bill Clinton

Sharing the Leo sign with Obama is Democrat President Bill Clinton. In fact, all Leos among US presidents were Democrats.

As a Leo, Clinton demonstrated the ability to be a natural leader but also had a desire to be liked by everyone, which got him into trouble and led to a Senate impeachment trial, only the second in US history at the time.

Cancers are known for their loyalty, protectiveness, and abundance of caution. However, common negative traits include being overly emotional and having an inability to let things go.

Geminis also tend to be skilled in multiple areas and are constantly busy by the people demanding their talents be put to use.

James Buchanan

The 15th president of the United States James Buchanan is often ranked among the worst presidents in consistent surveys, and his critics consider him to be the worst president of all time.

Buchanan is a Taurus, known for their dependability and practicality. However, during the time that Buchanan was president, those qualities worked against him. His unwillingness to take a firm stance on state secession may have set the stage for the rise of the Confederacy and eventually the American Civil War.
